Actress Nse Ikpe-Etim on Tuesday congratulated Chioma Ude the founder of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) on the 10th anniversary of the organisation.

The actress who attended the opening night of the event thanked the founder for her impact on the entertainment industry.

Nse also shared photos of herself, Kate Henshaw and Chioma Ude on Instagram.

“It’s @afriff week. So, game face. Congratulations to @realchiomaude and the entire team of @afriff on this 10th anniversary. Here’s to more valuable years,” she wrote.

Ude founded AFRIFF in 2010 as a platform to train individuals in film then develop and monetize content for the public. At the Nigerian entertainment conference, she stated that the inability of indigenous filmmakers to adequately convey the language, story and cultural elements of Nigerians into film was responsible for non-selection for the Academy Awards.

In October 2016, she spoke with the corporate world about AFRIFF in Lagos, explaining that the aim is to raise awareness of the benefits and potentials of African cinema.
