AFRIFF at 10: Adaora Ukoh congratulates Chioma Ude

Actress Adaora Ukoh has congratulated Chioma Ude the founder of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) on the 10th anniversary of the organisation.

The actress who attended the opening night of the event thanked Chioma for her impact on the entertainment industry.

“AFRICAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (AFRIFF) @afriff Kicks off yesterday. Themed “Africans for Africa Building Bridges.”
With line up of great Industry Events and Programme and also the 10th Anniversary.

“AFRIFF fulfills every excitement. Thank You organizers especially Chioma Ude For this Yearly week-long industry event that not just brings us together but brings the WORLD together,” she wrote.

Ude founded AFRIFF in 2010 as a platform to train individuals in film then develop and monetize content for the public. At the Nigerian entertainment conference, she stated that the inability of indigenous filmmakers to adequately convey the language, story and cultural elements of Nigerians into film was responsible for non-selection for the Academy Awards.

In October 2016, she spoke with the corporate world about AFRIFF in Lagos, explaining that the aim is to raise awareness of the benefits and potentials of African cinema.
