AFCON qualifier: We are out for revenge, Iheanacho warns South Africa

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has revealed that the Super Eagles are poised to revenge their first-leg defeat to South Africa on Saturday.
The Nigerians were beaten 2-0 by the visiting Bafana Bafana last year in their opening Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) fixture.
Since then, the three-time AFCON winners have recorded an impressive 100 per cent record, thrashing Seychelles before # two resounding wins over Libya.
And Iheanacho, who featured in that defeat in Uyo says he still has unpleasant memories of that game.
”The first leg is still fresh in our memories. We definitely want to take revenge for that defeat,” Iheanacho told All Nigeria Soccer.
”We are much better now than we were as of the time we played them in the first leg so I am confident we will get a win.”

Iheanacho also went on to back this current crop of Super Eagles players to go on and win laurels for Nigeria.

According to the former Manchester City player, the team is full of potential.

”As you can see,  we are getting better and better. We learnt a whole lot from the World Cup,  and since then we are improving as a team and also individually.
”Must of us have new clubs,  play more often in our club and above all getting better in terms of team cohesion when we play for the National Team.
”It’s only a matter of time before we start wining trophies,” Iheanacho concluded.
