Adewale Ayuba prays for Nigeria at 56

As Nigeria celebrates her Independence Day, popular Fuji music artiste, Adewale Ayuba, has released a new song to wish the country well at 56.

He uploaded the song on YouTube on Friday.

Commonly known as Mr. Johnson, Ayuba changed the face of Fuji with his distinct voice and dance steps.

He recorded and released his first album Ibere (Beginning) at 17.

Since signing his first record deal in the 1980s, he has released 15 albums in Nigeria and four internationally.

Ayuba was crowned the King of Bonsue Fuji as he was the original artiste who coined the musical genre.

He has won numerous awards including The Headies, City People Entertainment Award and Fuji Music Lifetime award.

He was branded “Prince of Peace” in 2012.
