Adele talks motherhood, love for Beyoncé as she covers TIME

British singer, Adele, is closing 2015 by gracing the cover of TIME Magazine’s ‘The Year Ahead’ issue.

In the special issue, the ‘Hello’ singer spoke about motherhood and her love for Beyoncé among other things.

Adele who welcomed her son, Angelo, in 2012 declared that she is enjoying every bit of motherhood and cannot wait for what comes next.

“I can’t wait to know who his best friends are going to be, who his girlfriend or his boyfriend is going to be or what movies he likes. Whatever my kid wants to do or be I will always support him no matter what,” she said.

She continued, “He can be whoever he wants, as long as he does his own laundry. I’m very self-conscious that I have a kid, and I don’t want him being one of those dickheads, who grows up being, like, ‘Driver, driver! I have no clean clothes! Well, have you washed them?’ I really don’t want him growing up like that. I’m very conscious of it.”

The 27-year-old also addressed the rumour that she was offered the chance to sing a duet with Beyoncé but turned it down.

“Whoever started that rumour must have been having a laugh.

“Because anyone who knows me knows that my main priority in life outside of my child is Beyoncé.”

Adele’s album, 25, is currently the highest-selling first week album in music history.

The album shattered NSYNC’s single-week sales record in the U.S by selling 2.433 million in just three days, beating the pop boy band’s 2.416 million sales total for 2000’s No Strings Attached in its first week of release.

25 has sold 3.38 million copies so far.
