Music couple Adekunle Gold and Simi have dismissed rumours of a divorce after sharing a video of themselves together.
The pair appeared in a clip posted on Adekunle’s Snapchat page, showing them abroad as they watched the moon.
In the video, they stood outside their residence, wearing matching glasses and filming the moment. Adekunle, who first noticed the moon, expressed excitement and wished fans well for Ramadan.
The male singer, in awe of the sight, praised the white man for it, while Simi laughed at him for crediting humans rather than God.
He captioned the post, “Ramadan Mubarak. We don see moon for this side.”
The video comes weeks after a fake divorce certificate of the couple circulated online, sparking reactions on social media.
Although their management denied the claims, some netizens remained doubtful due to the couple’s absence from public appearances and Adekunle’s silence during a recent controversy involving Simi.
In January, the couple marked their seventh wedding anniversary. Adekunle said he married his best friend seven years ago and that each year since has been gentler than the last. He added that loving her has been the easiest and most beautiful decision of his life.
Simi, on her part, said Adekunle remains the one for her after seven years, thanking him for the joy and peace he brings to her life. She described him as the husband of her youth and reaffirmed her love for him.
The couple got married in a private ceremony in 2019. They welcomed their daughter, Adejare, in 2020.
