Adeboye leads RCCG members in ‘prayer walk’ against insecurity

Pastor Enoch Adeboye during RCCG protest

General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has led members of his church on a ‘prayer walk’ to end the spate of insecurity and killings in Nigeria.

Adeboye began the walk on Sunday from Ebute Meta to Atan Cemetery in Yaba area of Lagos.

He had earlier instructed his church members all over Nigeria to observe the walk.

Adeboye called for the overhaul of the nation’s security system.

“Lord, have mercy on Nigeria. Let there be peace and security in Nigeria. God sees all things and knows where the terrorists are fighting, we pray that God sends His light to Nigeria and expose the evildoers in the country,” he said.

The walk follows a three-day fasting and prayer declared by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to strengthen the military forces in their fight against terrorism and insurgency in the country.
