Actress Tope Osoba has announced her return to the screen after surviving breast cancer.

The 39-year-old made the announcement in an emotional video shared on Instagram on Monday, where she thanked her fans and supporters for their prayers and encouragement during her health battle.

In the clip, Tope became teary-eyed and wiped away her tears as she reflected on the difficult experience and shared her plans for a new chapter in her career.

She wrote in the caption:
“Dear beloved fans, supporters, and loved ones, I’m Temitope Osoba, and after my cancer experience, I’m excited to announce my reintroduction. This journey has been a turning point, leading to my rebranding, reshaping, and rebuilding. I’m emerging stronger, more resilient, and more passionate about sharing my story and inspiring others.

“I’d like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my new management team for their incredible support and vision. I’m thrilled to be working with them to take my career to the next level!

“I’m also open to exciting opportunities, including endorsements, roles, and event-related collaborations. If you’d like to discuss potential partnerships or opportunities, please feel free to reach out to my management team.

“Thank you for your unwavering support. I’m looking forward to this new journey with all of you!
With gratitude and love,
Temitope Osoba.”

Tope was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2024 after discovering a lump in her breast during a routine self-examination. She initially visited a doctor who dismissed it as hormonal, but after the lump grew, further tests confirmed it was cancer.

She underwent her first surgery in November 2024 to remove the tumor. However, her doctors recommended a second surgery to clear out remaining cancer cells, with the total cost estimated at N12 million.

Following this, Tope went public with her diagnosis and appealed for financial support.

Actors such as Foluke Daramola and Alesh Sanni joined in amplifying the call for donations, sharing her story online. Although the initial round of support helped cover the first procedure, she revealed that more assistance was needed to complete her treatment.

After further scans, doctors confirmed that the cancer had not spread and chemotherapy was not required. She was instead placed on radiation therapy and was eventually declared cancer-free.

Now fully recovered, Temitope says she is rebranding and making a return to Nollywood. She expressed appreciation to her new management for their role in her comeback and said she was eager to use her voice to promote cancer awareness and support others who may be going through a similar journey.

Tope Osoba is known for her roles in Yoruba films such as Ile Owo, Omo Iya Kan and Gucci Girls.
