Actor Victor Eriabie has died.
He reportedly died in the morning of February 17 at the age of 63.
Victor was known for his work in Nigeria’s film industry in the 1990s and 2000s. He came to prominence with the movie series Izozo, a story that focused on the issue of women trafficking.
According to reports, his remains have been moved from Lagos to his hometown of Aghalope in Delta State, where they await burial arrangements.
The University of Port Harcourt graduate worked in many areas of the entertainment world. Besides producing films, he was an actor, television host, and radio presenter. His recent acting credits include Love in a Pandemic and Unforgivable, both released in 2023.
He worked on a range of film and media projects over the years. Earlier in his career, Izozo was recognised for its message on social issues and was one of the programmes that drew audience attention to the problem of trafficking.
He also had experience in media production and communications. His professional profiles list roles as a chief executive officer of a media company, playwright, and radio presenter.
No official cause of death has been released by his family or representatives. Arrangements for his burial are expected to be announced by his relatives in the coming days.
