A group of women in Umuahia, Abia State capital lay on the road on Tuesday praying for the state and Nigeria.
The women, who were said to be from the Methodist Church, wore similar outfits during their prayer meeting.
A video of the women on the floor has since gone viral. The voice of a man says in the video that the women were not linked to any politician.
“The women are praying for this state. Abia State needs prayers. This is not one-man affair, this women are not alligned to any political party or politician. This is the body of Christ,” the man said.
Abia State has been crippled by underdevelopment and poor governance. The state’s conditions are made worse by the frequent clashes between security agencies and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
