Abdul Imoyo’s death shocking – Steve Ayorinde

Former commissioner for tourism, arts and culture in Lagos State Steve Ayorinde has described as “shocking” and “unbearable” the death of head of media relations at Access Bank Abdul Imoyo.

Mr Imoyo died early Sunday at the First Cardiology, Ikoyi, Lagos, after a brief illness.

He joined Access Bank in 2014 as a corporate communications manager.

Mr Ayorinde shared memories he had with the deceased on Instagram on Sunday evening and said, “Shocking & unbearable. May you find eternal rest in the Far Country. The clan will miss you, buddy @abdimoyo.”

Editor of Ovation Magazine Michael Effiong also mourned the deceased on Instagram on Monday.

“Hmmmm….THIS LIFE!…Still in shock. May God Bless your soul, Abdul,” he wrote.

Access Bank spokesperson Abdul Imoyo dies in Lagos

Imoyo was a former vice chairman of the Capital Market Correspondents Association of Nigeria and was the finance editor of BusinessDay between May 2004 and July 2010.

He attended the Lagos State University between 1998 and 2002 where he bagged a B.Sc in public administration and later attended the University of Lagos, where he bagged his master of business administration.
