Abducted wife of Akeredolu’s chief of staff regains freedom

Sade Ale the abducted wife of the chief of staff to Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has regained her freedom.

Mrs Ale and one other person was abducted on Thursday night by unknown gunmen at Owena area, near Akure, the state capital on her way from Lagos State.

A social commentator and Ondo State indigene Oluyemi Fasipe confirmed the news on Saturday.

“…Kidnapped wife of Mr. Olugbenga Ale, Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, @RotimiAkeredolu has regained freedom,” he tweeted.

It was, however, gathered that the victims were rescued on Saturday morning by operatives of the Ondo State Security Network also known as Amotekun Corps in collaboration with local hunters and vigilante in the area.

Commander of the Amotekun Corps Adetunji Adeleye said: “We thank God for the achievement, it was not easy. But we are are able to arrest some persons in connection with the matter.”

Adeleye also said some suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of the Olufon of Ifon Oba Israel Adeusi who was killed by some gunmen on Thursday.
