Abba Kyari missing in Obi Cubana’s one-year remembrance video reel for mum

Club owner Obi Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana has omitted a deputy police commissioner Abba Kyari, who is under investigation for alleged drug trafficking, from a video reel to mark the first anniversary of his mother’s death.

Obi Cubana hosted a lavish funeral for his mother in July 2021 in Oba, Anambra State. Politicians, businessmen and celebrities were at the burial where bales of money were openly flaunted and women brought in from several parts of the country.

Kyari was criticised for attending the funeral on July 16. His critics said he was associating with criminal elements amid rising insecurity in the country.

One year after that, the table appears to have turned as Kyari is the one facing drug-related charges instituted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Early Saturday, Obi Cubana posted a video to Instagram, showing photos of nearly every notable person who attended the funeral but leaving out Kyari.

Entertainers captured in the video reel are D’banj, Davido, Cubana Chief Priest, Kcee, Buchi, Phyno, Olamide among others. Controversial preacher Odumeje businessman E-Money and politician Shina Peller were also captured.

“It’s been a year mama. We love you, we miss you, we thank God for the love u imbibed in us while you were here,” Obi Cubana captioned his post.

“We will NEVER let you and papa down. Keep resting till we meet to part no more.”

Meanwhile, Kyari is also wanted in the United States for alleged involvement in crimes perpetrated by convicted cyber-criminal Ramon Abass aka Hushpuppi.
