Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, is taking her 39th birthday celebration to the UK. The 2009 winner of the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role may not be throwing a gig on her birth date of August 24, but a lavish party will start on August 28 and run till September 4.
Information made available by the University of Lagos Law graduate shows that a series of events will hold in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Aberdeen on August 28, 29, 30 and September 4 respectively.
‘Jenifa’ as she is fondly called, became a Nollywood legend after the release of the famous comedy movie by that name. She went on to release a sequel, The Return of Jenifa.  A spin off, titled Jenifa’s Diary is currently running on different TV stations
