Fuji music stars, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Sulaimon Alao Malaika, have expressed sadness at the death of Wasilat, daughter of their senior colleague, K1 de Ultimate, also known as KWAM1.

Wasilat, 34, died in Canada on Tuesday after battling an undisclosed ailment.

According to her father, medical treatment and prayers were not enough to keep death away.

“Allah Subhanalahi Watahala wants you around him in his PARADISE and I totally submit to that and never question him God for doing that,” the bereaved father wrote in an Instagram message on Wednesday.

Taking a cue from others who had sent messages of condolences, Pasuma on Thursday mourned the woman he was once rumoured to have dated.

“Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am to hear about Wasilat, My deepest sympathy for your loss.

“My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. May your beautiful memories sustain and bring comfort to you during this difficult season.

“My heart is filled with sadness. Please accept our deepest sympathies and know that my prayers are with you during this time Sir,” Pasuma, who recently turned 50, wrote.

Writing earlier in the day, Malaika also mourned Wasilat whom he referred to as “my younger sister and daughter of my father”.

A devout Muslim like K1 and Pasuma, Malaika wrote: “Death where is your victory, for by this act that you did to cause us pain, you have given Ashabi the opportunity of going to be with Allah in aljanat. We won’t mourn like those who don’t know Allah, so though it is painful, we would take solace in Allah, who gives and takes as He pleases.”
