ThisDay snubee, Mercy Aigbe, signs endorsement deal

Mercy Aigbe

Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, who kicked against her non-inclusion on the list of Nollywood fashionistas by ThisDay earlier in the year, was Tuesday unveiled as brand ambassador for an ICT company.

Speaking at the unveiling, CEO and Founder of Edalaf Brothers Limited, Dr Falade Abiodun, revealed that the 37-year-old is an icon to reckon in the Nigerian movie industry, which is why she was singled out among hundreds to be the company’s brand ambassador.

“Mercy Aigbe-Gentry is an award-winning professional actress and fashion icon in Nigeria today,” Falade began.

“She is at the peak of her career and doing very well despite being a mother and a happily married woman.

“Mercy has proven to be morally upright, she is scandal free and she can move the youth of this nation.

“With Mercy Aigbe-Gentry as our face, we believe we will have the undivided attention of the Nigerian youth and we can actually make the difference by guiding them in the right path to discovering their individual talents and following their passion”.

Reacting, the Victims actress said “I’m immensely honoured and grateful to God to be unveiled as the brand ambassador of ICT Company, Edalaf Brothers”.

Apart from producing movies and appearing on red carpets, the actress recently started the Mercy Aigbe Gentry School of Drama, which offers a four months training in acting, scriptwriting, movie making, stage management and many more.
