Nollywood veteran Patience Ozokwor has congratulated Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her appointment as director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
The 62-year-old shared a video from WTO’s page of Okonjo-Iweala’s speech on Instagram on Monday.
She said, “Super proud of our own Dr. Okonjo Iweala.”
The WTO members took the decision to appoint Okonjo-Iweala at a special meeting of the General Council, following a selection process that included eight candidates from around the world.
Her tenure begins on March 1, 2021.
