Yoruba actor and comedian Jigan Babaoja has cried out saying he is tired of playing gateman roles all the time.

In a tweet on Thursday, Jigan said he could play any kind of role.

“If  truly want to help my career , stop giving me only gate man role ! I can play any role my dear brother! E ma baiye mi je,” he wrote.

Shortly after his post a Twitter user @oke_bamidele1 commented saying, “Stop accepting the roles too. Take a stand and let these people know that you are versatile and talented.”

He responded saying, “Not that I am rejecting the role, I can do other roles better.”

Born Kazeem Abimbola, Jigan in 2018 created the slang ‘Sho mo age mi.’

In a 2018 interview with Punch, Jigan said the slang came to be when he was with friends arguing about the real age of actresses in the movie industry.

“I have actually done several skits but it’s just that God had mandated that I would become popular with this ‘Sho mo age mi’ slang. I was on a movie location with some of my friends when we started talking about our actresses that were celebrating their 40th birthday; we said that some of them were either not up to 40 years or they were above the age,” he said.
