Difference Entertainment act, Sean Tizzle, turned 26-year-old on Tuesday.

Born Morifehan Oluwaseun Oluwabamidele in Lagos on December 15, 1989, the singer holds a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.

He shot into limelight in 2013 after the release of his debut single ‘Sho le’.

2015 has been quite eventful for him and here are three major controversies that trailed him this year.

  1. In September, the media got hold of the news that comedian, Basketmouth, is not a big fan of Sean Tizzle. Basket mouth revealed then that he had helped the singer with about three shows in December, 2014 only for Sean Tizzle to charge him a ridiculous amount of money when called to perform at his own show. In response, the singer acknowledged hearing what Basketmouth said about him but said he was indifferent since the comedian did not come to him directly.
  2. In October, the 2013 Headies Next Rated award winner received major criticism from fans who accused him of bleaching his skin. A picture of him performing at the 2015 Felabration made the rounds on the Internet with fans claiming his hands were darker than his face and some other parts of his body. Comments like “Vanity upon vanity.. this boy is bleaching his skin, the hands gave it away”, Black man know yourself” and “Can’t you just be yourself” were hauled at him. Sean refused to comment on the matter.
  3. In November, the ‘Perfect Gentleman’ singer was deservedly knocked for saying Adele’s version of ‘Hello’ was weak and that Nigerian singer, Omawumi, nailed the cover better than the British songstress. Fans let him know how they felt with comments like “If Adele’s hello is weak, Omawumi won’t do the cover. Sawdust is inside that Sean Tizzle’s head.” “Sean Tizzle makes good music but from his tweets about Adele, he doesn’t think before he talks sometimes”. He countered by accusing Africans of not always supporting each other. “We really need to start supporting each other…see that’s our problem…We don’t see the bigger picture…always so quick to judge & react,” he responded.

2015 is not over yet, so, Sean Tizzle might still be subject to another controversy.
