300 level ABU student Aisha commits suicide, blames parents

A 300 level student of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Kaduna State has committed suicide.

The victim Aisha Abdulganiyu took her life on Wednesday according to a message on the official Twitter account of the university.

Ms Abdulganiyu blamed her family for her decision in a note she left behind.

The deceased was said to have consumed Sniper at her Samaru, Zaria home.

Reports say that she wrote on WhatsApp in her last minutes: “I love y’all. Rest girl… You need to rest.”

In the note left behind, the deceased revealed her personal bank details and blamed her mother for tagging her a witch.

She also asked to be buried immediately.

“Just like I said, If I am no more please hold my family especially my mum and dad responsible. I have tried to be the best I can be, Stayed award from them just because they blame me for their mistakes and they cant love, help and take care of me like their own.

“My mum has made life a living hell for me only because she is bipolar and frustrated. Accusing me of being a witch, trying to bill her and being a cursed child even though my brother is responsible for my education and upkeep.

“My brother cant stick to his promise anymore bes he feels I am not his responsibility and I have my own family. I hope and believe that now that I am gone, It will bring them relieve and happiness,” part of the suicide note read.

She apologised to friends for her action, saying that she didn’t believe in God anymore nor did she see any purpose for her life.
