Singer 2face Idibia has congratulated Goodness Nwachukwu for breaking record at the 2022 Commonwealth Games while ignoring rumour of fathering a child with another woman.
Nwachukwu secured Nigeria’s fourth gold medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK.
The 23-year-old, Nigeria’s sole competitor in the Women’s Discus Throw F42-44/61-64 event, was way better than her challengers; setting new records with her first two throws.
Celebrating her in an Instagram post on Wednesday, 2face shared a video of Nwachukwu’s win, saying that the victory was an inspiration.
“Amazing inspiration Goodness,” the caption of the post read.
On Monday night, 2face tendered a fresh apology to his wife Annie Idibia over unspecified reasons, causing a debate on Twitter about the real reason for the apology.
In his statement, the father of seven who is now trending on Twitter said he was not looking for sympathy from anyone but he was only apologising for being a “shity” husband and father.
However, the 46-year-old who has on several occasions apologised to his wife over infidelity, did not reveal what incident triggered the fresh apology.
His apology has sparked another infidelity rumour on social media.
While some Twitter users claimed the singer was apologising for impregnating another woman, others speculated that he is promoting his new song.
The Benue singer is yet to address the rumour.
