25 finalists emerge in FirstStars reality TV show

Twenty-five contestants have emerged to feature in the more tasking and professional phase of the first edition of the FirstStars reality TV show.

The 25 scaled through a series of screening exercise hurdles. The contestants had initially had to qualify for the top 50 spot from a group of 100 most outstanding contestants pooled from the auditions which took place in April, including live performances in front of the FirstStars judges comprising of industry experts.

They will now be involved in more tensed and professional filmmaking sessions capped by weekly tasks to be presented to the panel of judges comprising of industry experts such as writer and producer, Tosin Otudeko, Deyemi Okanlawon, Tolulope Ajayi, Theo Lawson, Iretiola Doyle, Walter Adawaribi Taylaur and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde.

FirstStars showcases the business of the arts and opportunities in the creative industry with focus on filmmaking in a competitive reality show that gives young actors, producers, directors, script writers and art directors the opportunity to show their creativity and skills to a global audience.

They get the chance to win cash prize as well as produce a feature length film.

FirstBank, in partnership with EbonyLife TV, through the First@arts initiative premiered the show on Wednesday, September 28 2016.
