2015 Creative Industry Award holds January 24

The 2015 edition of the Creative Industries Award has been scheduled to hold at the British Council Gardens in Ikoyi, Lagos on January 24.

Created to reward initiative, talent, creativity and entrepreneurship across the creative industries, the award recognises the central role they play in the development of a competitive and sustainable creative economy.

There 23 categories for next years award, namely: Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Antique); Performing Arts (Live Music, Dance, Theatre, DJ); Comedy (Stand Up Comedy, TV Comedy Shows, Comedy Films); Music (Record label, Production Houses, Artiste Management, Marketers); Film (Production Houses, Producers, Marketers); Publishing (Books, Newspapers, Magazines, Journals); Audio Visual (Television, Radio); Creative Service (Architecture, Advertising); Tech Businesses; Fashion; Bloggers and Gastronomy (Sugar Craft, Culinary Arts).

Others are Make Up (Costumiers, makeup artistes for film and TV); Start-up of the year; Emerging Female Entrepreneur of the Year; Best Start-up under 30; Creative Innovation Award; Entrepreneurship Writer/Blogger of the Year; Social Enterprise Award; Creative Entrepreneur of the Year; Most Enterprising Governor; Most Innovative State and Award for the highest support for the Nigerian Creative Industry.
