Zion responds to Chinwe after BBNaija reunion face-off, drops bombshell statement

Big Brother Naija Zion

Former BBNaija housemates Zion and Chinwe were at loggerheads during the first episode of the highly anticipated BBNaija Reunion show, reigniting drama from their past relationship.

The episode, which aired on Monday night, saw Chinwe accuse Zion of being emotionally unavailable and financially dependent during their time together.

Chinwe said, “I held him down. He never took me out. I was the one doing everything and yet he acted like I was a burden.”

Zion, who had remained silent for months after their split, fired back on the show, calling Chinwe’s claims “insincere and misleading.”

He added, “It’s always the one who yells the loudest that has the most to hide.”

Following the heated exchange, Zion took to social media to release an official statement, shedding more light on their rocky relationship and addressing Chinwe’s public accusations.

He began, “I usually don’t do this, but this journey has taught me something real; perception is reality for some. I was in a relationship with someone who’s skilled at twisting stories to fit her version of events. I move quietly, protect my peace, and stay focused. Good vibes only but enough is enough.”

Zion said he had been honest with Chinwe from the start, explaining, “I had just returned from studying abroad, was younger and still finding my footing. I told you I was building my brands [@relics_one & @boyshostelintl] and not depending on my family. You respected that… or so I thought. Now you broke shame me at every opportunity.”

“Let’s be clear,” he continued, “you make money through means I could never and would never pursue yet I never judged you once. I don’t steal, I don’t push drugs, our values are very different. Because I chose a clean, slower path. I deserve to be disrespected?”

Responding to her claims that he never supported her, Zion said, “You supported me at times, and I did the same for you. That’s what partners do. But I never tried to shame you for it. You disrespected me and my people repeatedly while having sodomic relationships with women behind my back. Now you’re shocked that I left? Be honest, would you want your brother dating someone like you?”

He also addressed a financial matter, saying, “Since you mentioned it, on my birthday, the club hit over N1M. I asked you to support me with N270K. I now regret expecting support from someone who clearly didn’t have my back. Meanwhile, your team still owes mine N1Million, which I told them to drop, out of care for you.”

Refuting Chinwe’s complaint about not being taken out or appreciated, Zion stated, “You claim I never took you out? I gave gifts, planned a spa day, hosted your birthday dinner with friends, among others… but of course, none of that matters without respect and appreciation.”

“Like you said ‘Good riddance.’ So be it,” he concluded. “This is the last I’ll say on the matter. Spin your narrative however makes you sleep at night. I’m focused, I’m grinding and I’m winning regardless.”

The reunion show continues next week with fans expecting more confrontations and revelations from former housemates.
