Yul Edochie pressures Tinubu in open letter over hardship after years of support

Actor Yul Edochie has issued a strongly worded open letter to President Bola Tinubu, calling his attention to worsening insecurity and economic hardship across the country.

The 43-year-old, who publicly supported Tinubu during the 2023 election cycle, said he could no longer keep quiet as Nigerians continue to suffer.

In the post shared on Instagram on Thursday, Yul wrote: “Dear President Tinubu, bandits are gradually taking over the whole country, spilling the blood of Nigerians at will without consequences. Nigerians are being kidnapped in numbers daily. Things are so expensive, the suffering is unbearable for Nigerians. Is this the renewed hope you promised Nigerians?”

Yul, who once described Tinubu as a capable and experienced leader, said the current state of the nation contradicts everything the administration promised.

His open letter has triggered mixed reactions online, with some social media users revisiting his past praise and support for Tinubu, while others applauded him for speaking up despite his earlier political stance.
