Bisi Fayemi, wife of former Ekiti State governor Kayode Fayemi, has marked their 36th wedding anniversary.
In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, the 62-year-old expressed gratitude for her marriage.
“Happy Anniversary darling! Thirty-six years feels like yesterday,” she wrote.
She thanked her husband for the years they have shared together, saying, “Thank you for all the wonderful years of love and joy. You are simply the best.”
Mrs Fayemi also acknowledged God in her message.
“I thank God Almighty for the blessing of our love. Lots of love forever and ever,” she added.
Bisi Fayemi is a feminist activist, writer and co-founder of the African Women’s Development Fund.
She married Kayode Fayemi, who served as Ekiti governor between 2010 and 2014 and from 2018 to 2022.
He is also a former minister of solid minerals development.
The couple has one son, Folajimi Fayemi.
