Senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, has penned a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Nike Adeyemi, in celebration of their 32nd wedding anniversary.
On Thursday, the 58-year-old took to his X page to share a photo of himself kissing his wife on the forehead. The image bore the inscription: “32 years after.”
Reflecting on their journey together, Adeyemi wrote:
“What an amazing journey it has been. I asked God for someone who would listen to and obey Him. 32 years later, I am reminded that He answered my prayer. You are compassionate, intelligent, intuitive, caring, friendly, adventurous, and charming.
“Added to these, you are god-fearing. My sweetheart, @nikeadeyemi, I cherish, honour, celebrate, and love you forever. Happy wedding anniversary to us.”
Nike Adeyemi also shared a post to mark the occasion.
Alongside a photo of them together, she wrote, “Happy anniversary to us, my life partner, lover, leader of our home, my calm, handsome Sweetheart. It’s been a journey, 32 years since we said ‘I do.’ Grateful for our yes to the Lord and to each other. @thesamadeyemi”
The couple have three children, two daughters, Sophie and Adora and a son, David Toluwani.
In November 2024, Pastor Adeyemi sparked conversation online after he advised men against the pressure to pursue manhood enhancement.
In a sermon shared on his church’s YouTube channel, he warned against the obsession with size, saying effectiveness and emotional connection are far more important.
“I went to an all-boys secondary school. I still remember the day some of my classmates went somewhere, and by the time they came back, we had now found out what they had gone to do. They went with a ruler to measure their private parts and to compare. Nothing destroys self-image more than that. It is nonsense,” he said.
He continued, “If you are a young guy, let me encourage you because it is there; it’s all over the internet now. Are they not there? Everywhere you look, you will see either medicine or one Chinese method of elongating your…
“It is a lie; it is not the length that matters but the effectiveness, the skills and your love for the other person. So, for God’s sake, wait till you get married. If it is only one person you are doing it with, there will be no need to compare all over the place. Do not let them kill you.”
The motivational speaker also cautioned that social media often creates unrealistic ideals, which can lead to insecurities and emotional trauma.
