Actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has celebrated her close friend and colleague Jemima Osunde with a hilarious yet affectionate birthday message.
The 37-year-old shared pictures of Jemima on Instagram on Wednesday, along with a lengthy message.
“Happy birthday to the one who steals my clothes,” Adesua began her tribute.
She described Jemima as her “absolute favourite,” adding, “My sister, my friend, the one who is constantly stealing my clothes and making me thank God that we don’t wear the same shoe size.”
The Wedding Party actress praised Jemima’s “loyalty,” “intelligence” and “beauty,” joking about her friend’s knack for diagnosing small ailments with big medical terms.
“Because of you, I know way more medical terminology than I should,” she wrote.
“Small nyash dey shake, Jem the stallion. You are an incredible human being, and I’ll always be in your corner cheering you on,” she added, before highlighting Jemima’s “fierce” loyalty.
“I can’t tell her who’s disturbing me because she doesn’t forget EVER. Na me go dey beg say ‘it’s okay, I’ve let it go.’”
Adesua wrapped up the post with a heartfelt commitment, “One thing will always be sure, you can count on me. Anytime, any day. Whenever you need me, I’m there… I can’t fight physically (God won’t happy) but I can pray. That’s way more lethal.” She concluded with a Bible verse, blessing Jemima in the new year.
Jemima, who is also a trained physiotherapist, marked her birthday by sharing glamorous photos of herself in a stylish two-piece outfit on Instagram, striking confident poses that drew admiration and warm wishes from fans and celebrities alike.
Adesua and Jemima’s bond stretches beyond social media shout-outs. The two met on the set of MTV’s Shuga and have grown inseparable over the years.
In a past post, Adesua revealed that Jemima moved in with her during her IVF journey, personally administering injections and offering support throughout the process.
In 2023, their friendship took a professional turn with the launch of their beauty brand, Sanaa, which celebrates women as works of art. The star-studded launch included the likes of Banky W, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Basketmouth.
Jemima has also spoken about their closeness, once revealing how Adesua sensed something was wrong—even while abroad—and called her, only to find out she had just undergone emergency surgery.
