Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has penned a tribute to his wife, Nonye Soludo, in celebration of her 55th birthday on Thursday.
Taking to Instagram, the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor showered praises on his wife of over three decades, describing her as “ageless” and the perfect partner for his life journey.
“My Queen is 55! I really do not see this aging thing with you. For all I care, your beauty is ageless and your energy is fadeless.
You were made specially for me, and I couldn’t have imagined going through this universe without you. Every day, I thank God for engracing me with such a great soulmate,” he wrote.
“Happy birthday Nono, the children and I celebrate you today in a very special way. May your paths continue to shine brightly. I love you both now and always!”
Governor Soludo and Nonye met as students in their younger years and tied the knot in 1992.
Their marriage has been blessed with six children, four girls and two boys and the couple often appear together at public functions, radiating a partnership that has weathered many phases of life.
Affectionately called “Nono” by her husband, Mrs. Soludo is admired for her poise, advocacy work and commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles in Anambra State.
As First Lady, she leads campaigns against child malnutrition, environmental hazards and unhealthy diets.
Despite her status, Nonye maintains a low profile and often refers to herself as “a woman who wears many hats, mother, wife, advocate and friend.”
