Beauty entrepreneur Adeola Adeyemi, popularly known as Diiadem, has responded to actress Biola Bayo over a childhood incident that resurfaced online.
The drama began when Biola took to Instagram on Thursday to issue a PSA about the rising cost of aso‑ebi.
Commenting under the post, Diiadem recalled that when she was younger, she followed her step-mother to a movie set and Biola, who was present, allegedly asked her to clean her shoes on set.
Diiadem explained that it wasn’t the shoes but the condescending tone that hurt. She said the memory lingered for years and replayed every time she saw Biola on screen. “He who is tired has forgotten; he who is not able to take it forever, it’s not about the shoe cleaning, it was about how nasty you were to me. I said what I said!”
Biola reacted with laughing emojis and wrote in Yoruba: “E ma tun gba mi ke!! Ewo tun ni shoe cleaner bayi” (Don’t come at me again!! Which one is a shoe-cleaner now?).
Diiadem slammed her for refusing to take accountability. “It costs nothing to be kind … if I were in her position I would have reached out privately to apologise,” she said.
