Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner Imisi Ayanwale has responded emotionally to her mother’s viral accusations, questioning why the issue only surfaced after she became famous.
Her mother recently released videos claiming Imisi neglected her despite winning N150 million. She also showed the rundown house she lives in and said she would “never beg” her daughter for money.
But in her latest response shared online, Imisi said her mother was never present in her life before fame and would sometimes go “one or two years” without calling her.
“Before I won BBNaija, I was living my life and you would not even call me in one or two years, so why is there a problem now?” she asked.
Imisi said she has consistently supported her mother financially despite the strained relationship.
“God knows I have tried. I still sent you money last week and four days ago. Will I kill myself?” she added.
The reality TV star insisted she cannot take “N1 out of the money” she won for anyone’s comfort because she now has “100 people in the family looking up to me alone.”
She also said the narrative online is being misrepresented, stressing that her mother’s sudden public outburst shocked her, especially because she was absent during the toughest phases of her life.
