Omotayo Sanusi, popularly known as Iyan Aladuke and the estranged wife of actor Femi Adebayo, has spoken out over what she described as false narratives published about her amid their ongoing dispute.
In a series of posts on her Instagram page, Aladuke said she had tried to keep her personal struggles private but felt compelled to respond after reports and a family statement circulated in the media.
She wrote: “I’m going through a tough time and really didn’t want to air it on social media, but here I am. Last year, I was bashed and falsely accused, but thank God for the good people around me who stood by me. Now it seems the tables have turned — what was meant to disgrace me has turned to glory. The lies are falling apart, and people are seeing the true character.”
Aladuke also addressed reports surrounding her eviction from a Lagos property, alleging that armed security personnel were involved.
She wrote: “What did you expect when you took almost 20 armed men to a public place to evict people? Of course, the news would spread!” and “My aged mother was thrown out with a gun, knowing fully well she’ll be there to help me with my child!”
She further criticised what she described as image management efforts, referencing a visit to their son’s school.
Aladuke wrote: “You staged a visit to his school on Wednesday after being absent for a whole year, even when your office is just a few minutes’ walk from home! You took a picture to garnish your image.”
She added: “You always want to silence me by targeting my reputation. I’m done keeping quiet! You can’t silence me anymore! The desperation to save your name, you don’t care who goes down! I’m not going down with your lies! Whoever published those false narratives in Punch Newspapers should retract them.”
The public exchange follows the circulation of images and videos showing security operatives at a business linked to Aladuke, which was reportedly shut over an unpaid bank loan. Some reports mentioned Femi Adebayo in connection with the property, though the details remain disputed.
A family member of the actor later stated that the eviction was linked to a bank foreclosure and not a deliberate action against Aladuke. The family member said arrangements were made to relocate her, her mother, and staff to another apartment and that Femi has continued to support their child.
As of the time of this report, Femi Adebayo has not issued a direct public response to Aladuke’s claims about the alleged false publication.
