Actor Odunlade Adekola has publicly sent birthday wishes to his colleague and friend Eniola Ajao, describing her as “beautiful, gorgeous and talented” and praying for continued success and blessings in her life.
Odunlade shared the message on Instagram as Eniola celebrated her birthday on Wednesday. The actress, who is also a producer and has featured in many Nigerian films, turned 43 this year and marks her birthday alongside her twin sister.
Eniola and Odunlade have worked together in several productions over the years, and the birthday post reflects a tone of respect and goodwill between both actors.
Earlier in 2025, Eniola gained online attention when she attended the burial of Odunlade Adekola’s father, Pastor N. A. Adekola, who died at the age of 84. The funeral rites took place in Ekiti State, drawing colleagues and friends from the film industry.
A video clip from the event that circulated online showed Eniola greeting Odunlade’s wife. Some social media users interpreted the brief exchange in the clip in ways that sparked discussion online.
Eniola Ajao later addressed the reactions on her verified Instagram page, saying she would not spend energy trying to correct every rumour. She wrote that people can “destroy your image, stain your personality, but they can’t take away your good deeds.”
She also took legal action against a blogger who edited and shared the funeral video to suggest an untrue narrative. Eniola said the man was arrested under Nigerian cybercrime laws for defamation and cyberbullying, and was later forgiven after he apologised.
