The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, has celebrated his 19th wedding anniversary with his wife, Olori Abiwumi Owoade, with a heartfelt tribute.
In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, the monarch expressed deep affection for his queen, writing, “19 years together and without a doubt, I would choose you every single time. You are my strength, my peace, my forever. We’ve built an incredible kingdom of love and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.”
Oba Owoade and Olori Abiwumi’s union began nearly two decades ago and has been described as one built on love, mutual respect and a shared commitment to royal duty and family.
Oba Abimbola Owoade succeeded the late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III and has continued to uphold the traditions of the ancient Oyo kingdom while embracing the responsibilities of modern monarchy.
The 19th anniversary message has drawn warm reactions from admirers of the royal family, with many congratulating the couple and praying for continued harmony in their marriage.
Celebrations are expected to hold at the palace in Oyo.
