Gospel singer Yinka Ayefele was overcome with emotion on Monday as he paid a condolence visit to the family of gospel musician Taiwo Adegbodu.
In a video shared on Monday, Ayefele was seen weeping as he sat among family members and sympathisers gathered to mourn the singer. Those present made efforts to console him as the atmosphere remained sombre.
Taiwo was one half of the Adegbodu Twins, a gospel music duo known within the Christian music community. His death was announced on Sunday, March 1, through a post shared on the duo’s official Facebook page.
His twin brother, Kehinde Adegbodu, expressed his grief in an emotional tribute.
“TAIWO, why will you leave your kids and me without notification? My heart is bleeding, lord how do you want me to cope without him? God why? This is too much for me to bear!!!”
The cause of Taiwo’s death was not disclosed at the time of the announcement.
