Singer Yemi Alade has tackled a critic who said the music star has not released any hit song sing her single ‘Johnny’ dropped.
The critic said this on Twitter on Wednesday following a thread on unpopular opinions about Nigerian singers.
Giving his own opinion, the tweep @j_Yhus wrote: “Yemi Alade dropped like 277 songs after Johmmu and not one is a hit. Mama Africa una.”
Reacting to the tweet, the 33-year-old Afro-pop star tackled the critic as she bragged about almost hitting 1 billion views on YouTube with five albums.
“I don’t know which Yemi Alade you are talking about. The one I know is almost at 1 billion views on Youtube with 5 albums and 2Eps! Packed with hits,” she replied.
Following her response, another critic tweeted: “I mean no harm but Yemi Alade is extremely overrated. I still don’t understand what she sings today.
