Singer Yemi Alade has replied to a critic who advised her to collaborate with other female artiste especially Tiwa Savage.
A Twitter user who goes by the name Daniel Regha told the singer to focus more on collaborating with her female colleagues, adding that the music industry is male-dominated and female artistes need to promote each other.
“Yemi Alade u should try collaborating with other female artistes this year, especially with Tiwa Savage; The music industry is male dominated & barely gives room for females to thrive which is more reason why u ladies should stick together as one, it will boost ur music careers,” Daniel tweeted.
Responding to the tweet on Sunday, January 23, Yemi told the critic to take a rest as the year has barely begun and she does not need the stress.
“Oshey! Lucozade boost. Pathfinder! Career coach! Feminist! Torchbearer of female musicians! Counsellor! Oya rest ! 2022 just started! Don’t give me work,” she wrote.
