A Nigerian woman, Adeyemi Abidemi has expressed gratitude to music producer Don Jazzy after a generous cash gift played a role in her relocation to the United Kingdom.
In May 2025, Joke joined an online challenge on X where users tagged celebrities they hoped might send them money. She tagged Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, and asked for support.
At the time her bank account reportedly held only N67.
Don Jazzy responded by sending N1 million to her account. Noticing her low balance, he added an extra N5 million, bringing the total to N6 million.
Joke later shared photos from her flight to the UK on social media and thanked the music executive for his support. She wrote:
“I’m truly grateful to @DONJAZZY. The support I received played a big role in this journey, and today I’m in the UK. Thank you for the impact and for changing lives. God bless you always Sir.”
Her post drew attention online, with many noting the drastic change in her circumstances since the time before the gift.
Don Jazzy is the founder of Mavin Records and has been involved in other public giveaways and donations to social media users in recent years.
