Comedian and actor Woli Arole has explained why he rarely shares details about his family on social media.
Arole addressed the question on Instagram after a follower asked why he seldom posts about his wife and child. He said marriage was not entered into for social media validation and that not everything about life needs to be public.
“Arole you rarely post about your family, why? My response: I didn’t marry for posting, I married for companionship! Not everything about your life should be public! What if there was no social media, won’t you live! Enjoy my selfie smile abegggg!” he wrote.
He added that personal peace and companionship matter more than constant online visibility, and that private choices should be respected.
Woli Arole, whose real name is Bayegun Oluwatoyin, became popular through social media skits and later expanded into acting, live shows, and motivational speaking. He blends comedy with faith based themes and often refers to his work as part of his ministry.
He married his wife, Yemi, in 2021, and the couple welcomed a son in 2022. Since then, Arole has largely kept his family out of the spotlight, only addressing questions about his private life when prompted by followers.
