Singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has reacted after veteran musician Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba, ranked Burna Boy above him on the global stage.
2Baba made the comment during an interview while discussing the “Big Three” of Afrobeats — Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy — stating that Burna Boy currently leads internationally in terms of influence and reach.
Wizkid responded on Snapchat, writing, “I’m never letting it slack in 2026.” He added, “At least make peace with your family first before having opinions about music. Old man.”

All three have enjoyed significant international recognition. Burna Boy won Best Global Music Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards, while Wizkid earned a Grammy for his contribution to Beyoncé’s song ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
