Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Asake have released a joint extended play titled Real, Vol. 1.
The four-track project features the songs ‘Turbulence,” “Jogodo,’ ‘Iskolodo,’ and ‘Alaye.’
The EP follows the earlier release of ‘Jogodo,’ which served as the lead single.
Ahead of the release, both artistes shared the track list and cover art across their social media pages, drawing wide attention from fans. The project marks the first official joint body of work credited to Wizkid and Asake, although they have previously collaborated on songs.
Real, Vol. 1 blends Afrobeats with contemporary Afro fusion sounds, with production credits spanning several Nigerian and international producers.
Within hours of its release, the EP topped digital music charts in Nigeria, reflecting strong listener interest.
The collaboration comes at a period when both artistes are enjoying major career moments. Wizkid recently released his sixth studio album Morayo, a project dedicated to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who died in August 2023.
Asake, on his part, has continued to maintain a strong presence on local and international music charts following the success of his previous albums.
