Actress Regina Daniels has lashed out at Angela Okorie after the latter stated that she has forgiven their colleague Mercy Johnson because of an alleged sickness.
During an Instagram live session on Tuesday, Angela Okorie announced that she had put an end to her long-running feud with Mercy.
She said she chose to forgive the mother of four after hearing disturbing reports about her health condition.
“I’ve chosen to forgive Mercy Johnson because I heard she’s seriously unwell. She needs to seek forgiveness from those she’s wronged and stop using religious phrases that don’t reflect her true self,” Angela said.
She also urged Mercy to reconcile with those she might have hurt in the past, accusing her of hypocrisy by using religious language while allegedly behaving otherwise.
Reacting on her Instagram Story, Regina Daniels, who is a close friend and industry ally of Mercy Johnson, strongly rebuked Angela’s statement and dismissed the so-called forgiveness.
“I’m sorry and with all due respect, aunty Angella you dey mad! Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. Continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No dey shalaye!!!” she wrote.
Angela Okorie’s feud with Mercy Johnson dates back years but escalated in 2024 when Angela accused Mercy and her late mother of witchcraft.
In a widely criticized Instagram live session, she featured a woman who claimed to be Mercy’s former best friend and backed up the shocking allegations.
Angela also previously alleged that Mercy had become skinny because she no longer had “blood to drink,” a statement many interpreted as a veiled accusation of ritualistic behavior.
Mercy Johnson has largely refrained from responding to the accusations, focusing instead on her family and career.
As of the time of filing this report, Mercy has not publicly addressed Angela’s claims or Regina’s recent reaction.
