Fashion designer Veekee James has said her husband Femi Atere can never have a female best friend.
She spoke about it during an appearance on the Off the Top podcast.
The 30-year-old said Femi cannot have a female bestie because she believes she should be the closest woman to him. She said: “Femi Atere can never have a female best friend, even if he does I’ll occupy it with all of herself and her body alone.”
Veekee James added that every marriage has its own rules and that this is what works for her and Femi. She has spoken in the past about dealing with online criticism and claims that she took Femi from a friend, saying the situation affected her mental health.
Veekee James is a Lagos based fashion designer with a strong online following.
She and Femi Atere got married on February 10, 2024, after getting engaged in late 2023. They marked their first wedding anniversary in February.
