Media personality Denrele Edun has opened up about his experiences with relationships and his personal love life.
In an interview on The Moraya Show, Denrele said he has not found lasting success in romantic relationships.
“I have not really been lucky with love. People like us who have so much love to give to the world, we don’t really get it back in return,” he said.
“So, I have found it in different people and places, and I have realised that let me just love myself at this point.”
Denrele said his past attachments have not worked out as he would have hoped. “All my special attachments did not come out the way I would have loved it to. I have just realised that it is better I love myself,” he added.
He also addressed the challenges he has faced in giving and receiving commitment in relationships. “I am the easiest person to love. I have so much love to give. Recently, I was in a relationship with someone and I realised that once I make effort, people give excuses. That is what is happening in my love life all the while. While I give clarity, they are giving me confusion.”
“I will show commitment and they would not reciprocate. So, I realised that this is just a convenient to the person,” he added.
Denrele also spoke about his sexuality, saying he has experienced relationships with both men and women. “I have had the best of both worlds,” he said.
Denrele Edun is a Nigerian television host, actor, model, and dancer. He began his entertainment career in the mid‑1990s and has worked as a presenter and performer in both television and film.
In the past, he has shared details about his personal life and relationships. In earlier interviews, he said one of his past relationships with a man was difficult and taught him lessons about what he wants in a partner.
