Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Whiterose Group Shakirat Kareem has addressed a criminal complaint filed against her at the Federal Capital Territory Chief Magistrate Court, Abuja, in 2025.
Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Kareem said the complaint was lodged without her knowledge by a woman identified as Adebimpe Ogunjimi through Yakubu Eleto Chambers.
She explained that Ogunjimi presented herself before the court under a false identity, using the name Adebimpe Audullai.
Kareem said she was named the second defendant in a case alongside Elizabeth Anjorin, known as Lizzy Anjorin, a person she said she has never met and does not have any relationship with.
The complainant accused them of criminal defamation, acts likely to breach public peace and the presentation of false and defamatory statements.
“No court process was ever served on me.
Instead, an order was obtained to serve me in a place I have never been to in my entire life, despite the fact that the complainant’s spouse in Nigeria knows my office located in Lekki, Lagos State.” Kareem said.
She added that an order had been obtained to serve her at a location she has never visited, despite the complainant’s spouse being aware of her office in Lekki, Lagos State.
Kareem also addressed what she described as attempts to intimidate her, noting that the complainant’s spouse had previously used the signage at her office junction for an advertisement, which remains in place as of February 8.
