Actress Biola Adebayo has announced her separation from husband Oluseyi Akinrinde in a heartfelt message shared on his birthday.
The 43-year-old on Tuesday posted a photo of Oluseyi and their son on Instagram, using the occasion to celebrate her estranged partner while revealing that their marriage had ended.
She wrote, “Happy birthday to my Ex husband and my baby daddy.
I pray that grace will abound unto you, I pray you find peace in all your ways, may God continue [to] light your path and bless you beyond your expectations in Jesus name.
“Yes you heard me right!
My husband and I have been separated since April last year but we have decided to maturely and peacefully co-parent our dear son who means everything to us.
“To everyone that feels disappointed, I’m sincerely sorry, I wished it worked but it’s better to stay alive to tell the story.
Please keep us in your prayers.
“While I go about making other people happy in the day, my pillow is drenched with my own tears almost every night for the past 14 months but I gain strength from Christ who loves me eternally and gave himself for me.
Let’s learn to be kind to people, you have no idea what others are going through until they say it.

The actress’ revelation shocked many of her followers, including fellow celebrities like Regina Chukwu, Bukunmi Oluwasina, Esther Ijewere, Búkola Olatunju, Aisha Lawal, Allwell Ademola and Osoba Temitope, who took to the comment section to offer words of support and encouragement.
Biola Adebayo married Oluseyi Akinrinde on April 7, 2021, just six months after they met.
The couple publicly shared their struggles with fertility, undergoing failed IVF treatments and initial surrogacy efforts before finally welcoming their son via surrogacy in April 2023.
Before her marriage to Oluseyi, Biola was previously married to a UK-based Yoruba man named Ola.
The two had a private wedding in London in 2013, but the marriage ended due to undisclosed reasons.
