Former Big Brother Naija housemates Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, and Mercy Eke have surprised fans after publicly celebrating four years of friendship.
In a video shared on social media on Wednesday, the reality TV stars were seen sitting together and laughing as they addressed fans who still believed they were not on talking terms.
Tacha said in the clip, “We’ve been cool for years. It’s been a long time – like four years now.”
Mercy also added that fans had reminded them to make the video to clear the air.
Their reunion video quickly went viral, sparking excitement among fans who were thrilled to see the pair together after years of perceived rivalry. Many took to social media to commend them for their maturity and growth.
Tacha and Mercy’s friendship comes years after their infamous clash during the 2019 edition of Big Brother Naija, themed Pepper Dem. The confrontation, which involved heated exchanges and shoving, led to Tacha’s disqualification from the show, while Mercy received two strikes for her role in the altercation.
Mercy eventually emerged as the first female winner of the reality show, while Tacha went on to build a brand as a social media influencer and entrepreneur.
