Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen and Victor Boniface have received prayers and anointing from the mother of Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck ahead of Nigeria’s next 2026 World Cup qualifier.
In a viral video shared on Sunday, Odumodublvck’s mother is seen praying passionately for both footballers, placing her hands on their heads while declaring blessings.
Osimhen, who recently returned to the Super Eagles camp after missing earlier qualifiers due to injury, and Boniface sat quietly as she poured olive oil over them.
The special moment, which took place at the rapper’s family home, was described by many on social media as “divine” and “sacred.”
While it is unclear when exactly the event occurred, reports suggest it took place in Abuja, where the national team has been camped.
Reacting to the video, several fans hailed the rapper’s mother, calling her “a true mother of Zion” and praising the players for their humility.
One user on X wrote, “These boys understand the importance of blessings. May this be the beginning of greater exploits for them.”
The gesture comes amid growing criticism of the national team following a series of underwhelming results in the ongoing World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria currently sits fifth in Group C after three draws and a loss.
Osimhen, who was ruled out of the last two matches against South Africa and Benin Republic due to injury, is expected to rejoin the squad fully in the coming weeks.
Boniface, on the other hand, featured in both matches but was unable to find the back of the net.
