Actor Uzor Arukwe has threatened to take action over what he described as false accusations linking him to his co star Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as Bambam.

In a post shared on X on Wednesday, Uzor said a specific account was responsible for spreading claims about his professional relationship with the actress, warning that legal steps could follow.

He wrote, “A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time. Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation”.

The actor’s reaction followed online speculation that linked him to alleged marital issues between Bambam and her husband Tope Adenibuyan, known as Teddy A. Rumours gained attention after social media users noticed changes in the couple’s online activity, leading to unverified claims about their relationship.

Arukwe has not confirmed any personal relationship with Bambam beyond their professional work.

Both actors featured together in the 2025 Nollywood film Love in Every Word. The romantic drama was produced by Omoni Oboli and directed by Stanley Obi. Bambam played Chioma while Arukwe starred as Odogwu Obiora. The film was released on YouTube and drew millions of views, with many viewers commenting on the chemistry between the lead actors.

Bambam has not directly addressed the current rumours. Teddy A has also not linked Arukwe to any issue in his marriage.
