American streamer IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., has been in Lagos, Nigeria, as part of his ongoing Africa tour.
He arrived in the city on Wednesday, which was also his 21st birthday.
On the same day, he hit 50 million subscribers on YouTube while live‑streaming from the streets of Lagos.
During his visit, IShowSpeed has been meeting local content creators and fans. One of those he spent time with is Jarvis, a TikTok creator also known as Jadrolita, who is known for her human AI style content.
Jarvis shared a video from her Instagram showing her in a live session with IShowSpeed, where she was teaching him how to dance.
She added the caption: “I finally met @ishowspeed 😭🙏❤️ happy Birthday Speed 👑 congratulations on your 50M subs.”
The meetup between IShowSpeed and Jarvis comes amid online conversation about another Nigerian streamer, Peller, who was seen trying to get IShowSpeed’s attention during the tour.
Peller, a streamer, approached IShowSpeed several times but was repeatedly blocked by the streamer’s security team and did not get a chance to collaborate or speak with him on camera.
At one point, Peller was filmed chasing IShowSpeed’s convoy while riding a horse and calling out to him, but IShowSpeed did not respond.
Lagos has been one of the busiest stops on his trip, with fans crowding streets to see him and join his livestream as he explores local culture.
